Clean screen GDS - Enterprise edition with GDS only

The GDS feature has been enhanced to display a clean screen in the Reservation Diary by hiding the GDS Timeblocks unless they are selected for display. This greatly improves the look and feel of the Reservations Diary, and brings back the orignal idea of an uncluttered screen, yet keeps all the great GDS features.

Timeblock Ranges

The Add Timeblock feature has been enhanced to allow many timeblocks to be add at the same time. For example, GDS Available timeblocks could be added for all rooms for the whole year in one go.

Global Price Change

New global price change feature so that prices can be changed easily and when tax changes occur, old prices can be kept yet still use the new rate of tax.

GDS traffic enhancements - Enterprise edition with GDS only

The GDS system has been enhanced to reduce network traffic by the use of incremental updates and full updates where needed.

Flexi Rooms for GuestMaster Internet module reservations

You can now specify a GuestMaster category as being a flexi room. A flexi room is useful when you have a room that, for example, can be a Single, or a Twin, or a Double, or a Family depending on how you makeup the room. When a Room is marked as a Flexi room, online in the GuestMaster Internet module, it will appear as Single, Double, Twin, and Family. When a customer books the room, in the Booking notes field a message is given to say which type of room the customer booked.

So, for example, a customer books a Twin room, you will then know before they arrive, to make up that room as a Twin room rather than a Double.

Required Start Days

On the Rate Values screen, you can click select the day of the week a rate will come into force. Thus if you set it for a Tuesday and the minimum days to 7, you can make sure that weekly bookings always start on your chosen change over day of Tuesday. Very useful for House or Apartment rentals.

Summary Display Prices

On the summary screen, you can click the prices button to calculate the tariff prices to be displayed on the summary screen. The default is now off, so that the screen now displays faster.

Auto Availability in the Internet Module - Enterprise edition with GDS only

A new feature allows the Internet module to automatically mark all resources (rooms) as available on the GDS network. Thus you do not have to keep marking individual rooms as available.

Availability Limit % - Enterprise edition with GDS only

With this new feature you can select the total percentage of resources (Rooms) that you want to have available at any one time. For Example, if your hotel has 20 rooms, and the Availability limit is set to 50% then only 10 rooms are displayed as being available. As the rooms get used up, more rooms then become available.

This is a good way of reducing the possibility of as group booking all the hotels rooms for just one day, and causing the hotel problems trying to sell the rest of the week. Of course it is still possible that a group could come back and book more rooms later, but at least the immediate threat is reduced.

Hold Back % - Enterprise edition with GDS only

With this new feature you can select the total percentage of resources (Rooms) that you want to hold back for the GDS system. For Example, if your hotel has 20 rooms, and the Hold Back is set to 25%, then only 15 rooms are ever displayed as being available, thus you are always holding back 25% of your rooms from the GDS.
